Mr Amar Ghattaura is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon with over 20 years’ experience across both NHS and private practice, known for his precise, detail-led approach and commitment to achieving natural-looking results.

Alongside his private practice, Mr Ghattaura works within the NHS as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Morriston Hospital in Swansea and Llandough Hospital in Cardiff, and also sees patients privately at St Joseph’s Hospital, Sancta Maria Hospital and Werndale Hospital.

Blepharoplasty is a key focus of Mr Ghattaura’s work, defined by the finesse of his technique and a focus on subtle, refined outcomes. His careful technique ensures that scars are skillfully and discreetly aligned within the natural skin fold of the upper eyelid, helping them to remain as subtle and unobtrusive as possible.

His NHS work centres on complex breast reconstruction following cancer, using both implant-based and advanced microsurgical techniques. Through this, he has developed extensive expertise in breast surgery, including augmentation, reduction and uplift procedures, as well as the management of breast asymmetry and developmental conditions.

Mr Ghattaura also specialises in advanced microsurgical reconstruction, including DIEP and flap-based techniques, and is the Lead for Microsurgery within his NHS practice.

Through this work, he has established a pioneering service for the surgical treatment of lymphoedema, a condition that has historically had very limited treatment options. He also provides treatment for lipoedema using water-assisted liposuction (Bodyjet), offering a more targeted and effective approach for suitable patients.
